Enriching Educational Opportunities for Children in Need

Domtar partners with First Book to provide brand new books to educators serving low-income children across North America. Domtar's grants provide funding for schools to purchase books through the First Book Marketplace, which are then given to students to take home.

Making a Difference for Teachers and Students

Domtar is proud to support Classroom Central, an organization whose mission is to provide free supplies to students in need to maximize their learning potential. Domtar, First Book and Classroom Central have partnered to create a unique, annual book distribution event that provides 40,000 new books to educators in the Charlotte, North Carolina area to share with their students.

Opening New Worlds for Students Through Reading

Eleven schools in Domtar communities have opened Ben Carson Reading Rooms. Through the efforts of employee volunteers, existing spaces have been transformed into welcoming, relaxed and comfortable spaces for children to read at school. The rooms, sponsored by the Carson Scholars Fund, were made possible thanks to generous gifts from Domtar and its vendor partners.
